The results of four races in the past election are set to be revisited after Alameda County officials learned the voting system may have been set incorrectly for races determined by ranked choice voting.
The San Leandro City Council approved a crosstown corridor study on Nov. 21, setting the city up well to get grants to design buffered two-way bike lanes on Bancroft Avenue and Williams Street. The goal of the changes is to address unsafe speeds, student safety concerns, bike connectivity, BART connectivity, business access, and bus stop quality and accessibility.
The city of San Leandro no longer has a commission dedicated exclusively to the arts and some fear that may lead to the arts falling by the wayside.
