Queer Lit Life Poetry Workshop

In an atmosphere of openness and encouragement, participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to read and hear a few published poems by a variety of LGBTQ poets. We’ll discuss the importance of queer poets bravely expressing the realities of their lives in beautifully crafted language—even when the experiences they describe may be difficult or even ugly. Participants will also have the chance to write their own poetry in response to prompts. You’ll have a chance to share with the group if you want, and exchange meaningful feedback. Discussion is welcome in this safe space. There will be time for questions and recommendations for further reading. All ages and experience levels welcome.
